Welcome
Percy Jackson spends most of this story believing something is wrong with him. He can't sit still, he can't read the way other kids do, and trouble seems to find him. By the end, he learns that the things that made him feel out of place are exactly what make him a hero.
I've watched a version of that happen in our rehearsal room this fall. Fifteen young performers auditioned for this show, earned their places, and spent the last several weeks learning to trust each other with sword fights, quick changes, and some very loud rock music. Not one of their families paid tuition for that experience. That is the whole point of ACT 1 Inc.
Thank you for being here. Cheer loudly. They've earned it.

About ACT 1 Inc.
ACT 1 Inc. is a tuition-free youth theatre company. Every production is audition-based, and no family pays tuition for their child to take part.
A child's access to the stage should never depend on what their family can afford. The young people on stage tonight rehearse, train, and perform alongside professional directors, choreographers, and technicians. Along the way they learn what it means to be part of a company: showing up, supporting each other, and finishing what they start.
We produce at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts in partnership with Invision Theatre Company.
Keep the Stage Open
Tuition-free means someone else covers the cost: rights, scripts, costumes, sets, sound, lights, and the people who make it all run. That someone is our donors, sponsors, and families like yours.
If tonight meant something to you, a gift of any size helps the next child get their moment.
